Jamaica Villas - Jamaica Restaurants listings

JAMAICA RESTAURANTS LISITINGS

Adam Richman - Man verses Food

As readers of this little Blog will know, I do like to keep the great and the good informed of what's going down in Jamaica and other parts of the world that Jamaican Treasures have luxury villas. It helps, I think, to have some local knowledge if you are off around the world and one of the most important things to know, is where to eat?

Oh yes! where to eat in Jamaica? and what to eat in Jamaica? the best part of ones holiday, I think. Jamaica has plenty to offer in the way of food and drink, so, I have decided to scour the Internet for the best Jamaica restaurants.

My plight was solved when I came across Frommers.com who have a ready made listing of all the very best places to fill your belly in Jamaica. Like restaurant Akbar in Kingston. Akbar Indian Restaurant in Kingston gets a great write-up on the Frommers "Restaurant Listings in Jamaica"

Almond Tree restaurant in Ochos Rios is a Jamaican cuisine restaurant and I´m sure you will get the national dish of Ackee and Salt Fish here.

Café Aubergine, Moneague /Ochos Rios serves up all your favourite Italian and French favourites. The Frommer foodie dude tells us he filled up with "
sautéed breast of chicken in a lemon caper sauce over a bed of linguine or grilled lamb chops with a honey mustard sauce." No flies on that guy!
Da Gino's Italian Restaurant in Negril serves up all the very best Italian dishes, and, if you are an avid fan of the Italian pasta and Pizza, then this is the place for you.
Passage to India. Where do they think these names up? Who cares? Passage to India has such a great recommendation that you will just have to go there and see for yourself!
"This is the most visible and most desirable Indian restaurant in northern Jamaica, one of the preferred favorites of the expatriate British and American communities living along Jamaica's North Coast."

Wow! Beat that then!

Anyway. The Frommers site lists 75 of the very best Jamaica Restaurants, Bars, cafés and eateries. Also, they list the locations, addresses and average price for a meal so you can see what your likely to be paying out. They also rank them in price and quality.

This is an excelent website and I suggest you save it to favourites. There! Frommers Jamaica Restaurants.

Jamaica Villas - Falmouth Jamaica Fishing Charter

Falmouth Jamaica Fishing Charter

I do like to promote the businesses that are dotted around Jamaica and especially those businesses that would interest the good people that are staying at one of our Jamaican Treasures luxury villas.

Fishing, deep sea fishing, Marlin fishing, spear fishing, snokeling and reef diving are all great activities and if you are in the Caribbean then it is ten times better than anywhere else and comparable to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The list of beautiful sea creatures is endless.

My favourites are the Sharks. Yes, Sharks! There are many types of Sharks that happily swim the Caribbean waters, not a care in the world and bothering noone. If your lucky, you will see some. What types of Sharks?

Caribbean Reef Shark, Silky Shark, Whale Shark (a great big softy) Great white (Jaws fame but they are only out in the very deep water and not near the shore...Phew!) Grey Reef Shark, White Tip Reef Shark, Nurse Shark and Leopard Shark. Is nthat enough Sharks? There also some fish knocking about the place. Like Mahi Mahi, Spanish Mackeral, King Fish, Snook, Tarpon and lots more.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know about Luminous Laggon Tours. They offer all sorts of activities, like parasailing, scuba diving, water skiing, snorkeling tours. They cater to all visitors, so they say. Anyway, the boat looks good and it sounds like great fun. Take a look at their advert for more details.

Jamaica Villas - How to hold Weddings in Jamaica

JAMAICA WEDDINGS VILLAS

Map of Jamaica weddings villas locations
I get asked quite often "how many people get married in Jamaica?" Well, I´m happy to tell you, "I don´t know!" and you can quote me on that. Lot's of people choose to get married in the Caribbean and the Bahamas because it is a romantic and exotic place to hold a wedding ceremony. Let's face it, Montego Bay in front of a water fall on a balmy summer evening or St Normans church, Piddlethorpe in the rain. "It's a no brainer"

Bright blue sea, golden sands, palm trees swaying in the cool breeze, father in law legless..er..sorry, I meant the proud father giving away his daughter to some handsome fellow. It's got it all. Jamaica weddings also has one other thing that sets it aside from the ordinary. Fantastic properties!

Jamaican Treasures specialise in holding weddings in the Caribbean, we have the specialist staff who will make your big day go without a problem, they are professional and enthusiastic and they really know how to make a party swing.

The villas we have are suitable for weddings of all sizes, from the small cosey type to the grand, flamboyant, elegant type. We have weddings villas for 4 people or for 40 people. We at Jamaican Treasures like to think we can accomodate every type of wedding, family reunion, business or private function.

There are a couple of things to remember when you are getting married in Jamaica, you must be on the Island at least 24 hours before the ceremony and you must have all the correct documentation. But don´t worry, we´ll let you know everything you need. A full list can be found at the bottom of this page http://www.jamaicantreasures.com/wpackage.php

take a look at our weddings villas page on our main website and you'll see some of the most wonderful Jamaica Villas, properties that you would be proud to get married in and hey! Think about the wedding photos! It´ll beat the usual photo of everyone stood in St Normans church doorway with the wind blowing the brides veil all over the place.

Holidays in Puerta Vallarta Mexico

VILLAS IN PUERTA VALLARTA MEXICO

Caida de Agua villa

Caida de Agua Villa, translated by this Gringo means "waterfall villa" or if you really want to be pedantic "Fall of water villa" both meaning the same thing. As you may have sussed, I'm still Blogging about Puerta Vallarta, that Jewel in the Crown of Mexico and no doubt you are waiting for the sales pitch?

Sales pitch? Moi?

In this case no sales pitch is needed, this villa in Puerta Vallarta really is something you should see for yourself. It is described by everyones favourite website (Jamaican Treasures!! Who else!) Thus:
"The luxurious five-star Caida de Agua villa is a place for escape and indulgence. Overlooking the breathtaking Pacific Ocean and the famous Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, this lavish villa will sweep you off your feet."

Hey! C'mon now, all you golfing people, even I know who Jack Nicklaus is! Also know as the "Golden Bear" and if his name is associated with something then we are talking quality. Caida de Agua Villa is located at Punta Mita Residential Community in Lagos del Mar.

Our main website has a very informative and elegant description of Caida de Agua Villa and so I think you should go and read that Caida de Agua Villa Link.

Villas in Mexico - Villas in Puerta Vallarta Mexico

PUERTA VALLARTA, MEXICO
Luxury villas Mexico - Casa Artistica, Puerta Vallarta
Ah, Mexico. Or, if you watch the cheesey westerns "Meh-hee-Corr". Mexico conjures up visons of sleepy haciendas, tanned ladies in flamenco dresses, unshaven bandidos on scruffy horses, guitar music and tequila. Well, it does for me anyway but then again, I watch far too much telly for my own good.

No matter. Mexico is a much loved destination for millions of tourists, not just from the North American continent but also from Europe and Puerta Vallarta is one of the biggest draws.

"Puerto Vallarta" would translate in English to "Port Vallarta" or "Vallarta Port." It is a port named after the former governor of Jalisco, Ignacio Vallarta.
Puerto vallarta is in Jalisco, Mexico. It is located on the pacific oceans Bahia de Banderas. It is a resort for may and a getaway for others.

As luck would have it, here at Jamaican Treasures Villas, we have some fantastic villas in Puerta Vallarta and other parts of Mexico (and the Caribbean as our Blog readers will know) and one in particular I would like to show you is this beautiful Casa Artistica (Artistic House) a very well name villa.

Casa Artisica is located 10 minutes south of Puerta Vallarta and has a semi private beach. To see all the details on this great holiday villa, why not pop along to our main site http://www.myluxuryvillas.com/villa/1204/ there are also a lot of great photos.

Jamaica Villas - Sugar Bay Villa in Discovery Bay, Jamaica

WEDDINGS & HONEYMOONS VILLAS DISCOVERY BAY, JAMAICA
Sugar bay Villa, Discovery Bay, Jamaica

Now then! I have a great Jamaica villa to show you and it is as sweet as it's name suggests. "Sugar Bay Villa" which sits in the beautiful Discovery Bay area of Jamaica. I know what your thinking "he's bound to say lot's of nice things about the properties on his blog, aint he?"
Well, to a certain extent, this is true but then I would be stuffed with irate Blog readers if they went to Jamaica, stayed at a villa I have praised and not found it to be all that I had cracked it up to be. Oh no! No porkies from this lad.

OK, Sugar Bay Villa. If I was getting married again, instead of getting married in deepest, darkest Lancashire in the UK, I´m sure I would want a more exotic location, somewhere really special. Sugar Bay Villa is just that, it's "somewhere special" A wedding and honeymoon in this villa would be the icing on the cake.

The property it'self has been a holiday home since the 1800's and is a stunning waterfront villa. originally used by a family from Ireland who came to Jamaica to develop and work on the sugar plantations. The modern property was built in 1995 and enjoys a spectacular waterfront location, the interior is magnificent with custom designed, hand crafted Jamaican furniture, fixtures and fittings.

I could waffle on all day about this beautiful property but a "picture paints a thousand words" so why not go to the Sugar Bay site and see for yourself.

Jamaica villas - No swearing please!

WHEN IN JAMAICA DO NOT SWEAR!

"Y'knaa me not sae notting rang! juss prablem wid talkin Patois!"
(Photo Sipa Press/Rex Features)
Oh! dear me! It was with some mirth that I heard on the news that a little sweetie called  Nicki Minaj had been fined the princely sum of about 7GBP for her profanity strewn performance at a concert in Jamaica.

The little foul-mouthed sweetheart was dragged off to the court and put in front of the local beak for breaking the Jamaican anti profanity law, this law prohibits the use of strong or profane language in public places. The law is a throwback to colonial times. I was informed that "She had violated the Towns and Communities Act, which dates from British colonial times and penalises "obscenity in a public place". Oh, dear!

To be fair, it was little Nikki's first time in Jamaica and she was attending the Montego Bay Reggae fest, how was she to know that you can't use words like..er..er..- - - - and - - - - and - - - - - - - and - - - - - - - - - - !! (This is a very family orientated Blog so we don´t use that sort of language ourselves.

So, when you dear readers come to Jamaica and stay in one of our lovely villas, please remember to mind your language or you may also be up in front of the beak!
