Easter Bun; Make your own.
Easter is a
time more associated with the giving and receiving of great big chocolate Easter
eggs, or so it would seem. The whole religious element seems to have been made redundant
in some places around the world and been replaced by Mr. Cadbury and his hoards
of chocolate making monsters.
Some place
though have ingrained traditions, such as Spain and those colonies from Spanish
occupation, these places still have great big parades of people wearing
brotherhood robes of different colours, the penitents wearing the white robes
and conical head dress, parading with burning candles could well be mistaken
for Ku Klux Klan members but they are all celebrating Easter in their way.Jamaica has long standing traditions celebrating Easter and one I came across is Easter Bun and Cheese which, according to an excellent Blog called ‘Stunner’s Afflictions’ is a great favourite of the kids in Jamaica and around the Caribbean islands. Take a look at this blog and see what your missing and if you are thinking of joining us in Jamaica over Easter either with Luxury Arrivals or Villas Sur Mer in Negril, then you want to make sure you get your share of the is Jamaican delight.
