I do like to promote the businesses that are dotted around Jamaica and especially those businesses that would interest the good people that are staying at one of our Jamaican Treasures luxury villas.

Fishing, deep sea fishing, Marlin fishing, spear fishing, snokeling and reef diving are all great activities and if you are in the Caribbean then it is ten times better than anywhere else and comparable to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The list of beautiful sea creatures is endless.

My favourites are the Sharks. Yes, Sharks! There are many types of Sharks that happily swim the Caribbean waters, not a care in the world and bothering noone. If your lucky, you will see some. What types of Sharks?

Caribbean Reef Shark, Silky Shark, Whale Shark (a great big softy) Great white (Jaws fame but they are only out in the very deep water and not near the shore...Phew!) Grey Reef Shark, White Tip Reef Shark, Nurse Shark and Leopard Shark. Is nthat enough Sharks? There also some fish knocking about the place. Like Mahi Mahi, Spanish Mackeral, King Fish, Snook, Tarpon and lots more.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know about Luminous Laggon Tours. They offer all sorts of activities, like parasailing, scuba diving, water skiing, snorkeling tours. They cater to all visitors, so they say. Anyway, the boat looks good and it sounds like great fun. I was browsing through the "Blogs" section of jamaicans.com and I came across this really interesting website for Snorkel Fishing. Now, if you are like me and terrified of going into any water deeper than 2 feet because you saw the film "Jaws" in the 1970´s then this site might just coax you back into the drink.

The website is called "Sea Shell Charters" and is run by cap´n Phil McKenzie. Anyway, take a look at the website and what they have to offer for when you stay in one of our fantastic private villas.

Sea Shell Charters was established in 1978 by Captain Phillip McKenzie "Captain Phil". His first boat was hand-carved from a Cottonwood tree and used a paddle for propulsion. Visitors were treated to a truly authentic fishing experience in this primitive but seaworthy craft. Today, the Sea

Shell Fleet consists of a 28 foot Dusky offshore fishing boat, a 26 foot Dusky fishing boat, a glass-bottom boat, and a 35 foot Columbia sloop.  Sea Shell Charters offers several offshore fishing packages, sightseeing and snorkelling adventures, and special events packages.
