Things to do in Jamaica

Staff at Jamaican Treasures laughed when they realised Mr Blog had booked the wrong package.

Going on holiday to Jamaica is great, it’s exiting and wondering what to do with your two weeks in the beautiful Jamaican sunshine can be a problem, a happy problem but a problem nonetheless.  You can stay by the pool for two weeks and read endless books, you can walk along some of the most beautiful beaches in the whole of the Caribbean, you can sit on the Internet or watch the TV but sooner or later you will get bored and want to explore the island and all that it offers the tourist.
Fortuitously, the great and the good at Jamaican Treasures have supplied you with a wonderful website called “Spirit of Jamaica” which has some wonderful ideas for you two weeks or whatever you are having. The Spirit of Jamaica site offers packages that make life simple, such as car and Van driver hire, this is great when you have someone picking you up, dropping you off and taking you around the island, and because the drivers know the island like the back of their hands, you will save time and worry and you won’t get lost. You will also have the local knowledge of the best places to eat, where to visit and where not to visit.
Swimming with the Dolphins is another great tourist attraction, there is also a great sea life presentation and you can go snorkeling with Sting Rays, see the Sharks and Snakes, listen to Pirate music, there’s loads to do at Dolphin Cove and Little Port Royal but it’s swimming with the Dolphins that gets the pulse racing (You could try swimming with the Sharks, it would race a bloody site faster, I’ll bet!)
Do you like Reggae Music? If so, then you are in for a treat because there is a trip to see the baddest Reggae band in Jamaica, they are Called Mobay (Slang name for Montego Bay) and are a 5 piece band from Kingston and Montego Bay.
Mobay perform 3 sets of 45 minutes each with music from Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Burning Spear, UB40 and many more.
There’s much more to see on the Spirit of Jamaica website and so in true Blogpopper tradition, here’s the link and you can peruse at you leisure (hey! You could peruse around Jamaica!) Spirit of Jamaica

Jamaica Information Websites - Spirit of Jamaica

Spirit of Jamaica

Here it is folks! Blog post 200 and I'm happy to report the birth of a great new website for all Jamaicaphiles (That's peeps that love Jamaica)

As ever, the great and the good who run that wonderful Jamaica Villa Rentals company, Jamaican Treasures have had their heads together and have come up with a great new website dedicated to making life even simpler for the tourists to Jamaica.

People who arrive in Jamaica are here to enjoy themselves and so they need the basic information;

·         Where do I hire a car / taxi / tour bus?
·         Where are the best live music venues?
·         Can I get guided tours of places like Chucka Cove or Dunn’s River  Falls
·         Where can I buy tickets to live events / sports
·         Airport Transfers
·         Club Mobay Tickets

There are lots of places people want to see and lots of things they want to do and the quicker, the better. So, http://www.spiritofjamaica.com/  aims to provide the Jamaica tourist with up to date leisure and activities information at the touch of a keyboard button.

There will be special offers available, you can become an affiliate member, and products will be available at up to the minute prices so you can grab the bargains. It’s going to be cool.

As usual, the more input into a website or idea there is, the better the services will be and you are more than welcome to suggest a product, service or venue that will interest the general public. The www.spiritofjamaica.com website is under construction so if you have an idea, let’s hear it now.

Save the Spirit of Jamaica website to your favourites, because it’s going to become the site that everyone refers to when they visit Jamaica.
