What makes a perfect holiday? Tryall, is a beautiful luxury gated villa resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Tryall villas are slap bang in the middle of the Tryall Golf course, which also has it´s own private beach.

The Tryall gated community is about 12 miles to the west of Montego Bay, which it'self is in the north west of the Island, between Lucea and Clark's Town. Tryall has the Flint river running through it, this in turn is fed from the mountain springs.

OK, If you have read some of my previous postings, you will know that I touched on the subject of Golf, Golf holidays, Golf villas and of course..Golfers! I don´t play golf, I don´t have the time or the inclination to dress up like Mr Cadbury's Parrot and whack my balls around all day long with different sticks.

Mark Twain once described golf as " A good walk...ruined!"

But hey! let's be fair, it is a very popular game (Grass..sky..sky..grass!) and is watched on the telly and also attracts crowds in their dozens. I suppose one has to be fair or at least, seem to be fair, when writing about holiday activities in Jamaica, no matter how daft the pastime or sport may seem to the writer. So, here goes.

Golf! Just like Jeremy Clarkson, I neither play nor understand golf! As Jezza explains "When you see golf on the telly, it's grass..sky, sky,sky...grass!" He might have added it´s also the most amazing display of fashion crimes known to man, come on now, Plus Fours!!! Theres also the snobbery of the golf clubhouse, or that is the way it is portrayed on the telly.

No matter, Golf courses and Golf Clubs in Jamaica.

There are more than enough golf clubs and courses in Jamaica to keep the most rabid of golfers happy. Let's just highlight the Tryall Golf Club which is in Sandy Bay, Hanover, Montego Bay.

Tryall Golf Club is brilliant and just like other golf clubs and courses around the world, it has everything the golfer needs, such as 18 holes with flags in them, long grassy bits, short grassy bits, holes with sand in them, some ponds and clubhouse and of course beautiful blue and green sky..grass...sky,sky,sky...grass.
