Property rentals St. Martin

Villa Mes Amis

Have you ever wondered, whilst watching the adverts on the telly, "who thinks this stuff up!?" I do!

When I say "I do!" I don´t mean that I think this stuff up, I mean that I watch the telly and wonder "Who makes this stuff up!?" and one reason is because I'm jelous.

I want to be the director who does the photo shoot with beautiful model on golden sands and pale blue Caribbean sea. So, heres my take on it. I´ve even got the model and the Caribbean (see photo)
Villa Mes Amis. 11 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, cliffside jacuzzi, the most fantastic state of the art kitchen and nestled in 7 acres of beachfront land.
This is really one of the finest luxury holiday villas you will ever see, who says so? the staff at Jamaican Treasures do and they should know, they have 120 villas on St Martin alone.

I´m not Judith Chalmers or Alan Whicker and so to get a real idea of how fantastic this St Martin property really is, you would be better looking at the villa on the home page of My Luxury Villas.

Holidays in the Caribbean island of St. Martin

Villa Allamanda, Orient Bay, St. Martin
Whenever I see this photograph of villa Allamanda in Orient Bay, St. Martin, one thought springs to my mind; "I'll have some of that!"

Hillside Villa Allamanda sits in half an acre of lovely landscape exotic gardens.  This great vacation villa has a large pool and small pool with massage pump..Oooh! Nice!.

This villa is one of the Jamaican Treasures staff favourites and no wonder. There are breathtaking views from the villa and its terraces of the Atlantic Ocean, Orient Beach, and the islands of Pinel, Tintamarre, Green Cayes and St. Barthelemy. Villa Allamada commands one of the most sought after locations on the Island of St Martin.

Villa Allamanda would be very suitable for parties, weddings, family holidays and reunions. A large, spacious property with everything you will need for a great vacation in St Martin.

Vacation rentals St. Martin

Alexina's Dream, Happy Bay, St. Martin
Happy Bay. What a great name for a place to have a luxury holiday villa. Alexina's Dream is a brand new listing to Jamaican Treasures fleet of luxury villas in St. Martin, Alexina’s Dream is also a brand new property located on sloping land over looking beautiful Happy Bay and the Bay of Grand Case.

Take a butchers at the photo above, is that not your idea of what a Caribbean holiday is all about? It is mine, I can assure you of that. I could well imagine myself on that boat, a Margarita in one hand, Jack Daniels in the other (what I call a balanced diet) listening to some Blues music. Aaaah!

I digress. Alexina's Dream is a new villa with four bedrooms, all ensuite, fantastic furnishings and views of the Caribbean towards Anguilla, a fitted kitchen and living area that leads to the patio and swimming pool area. It is beautiful.

To get a better idea of how nice this villa really is, please visit Jamaican Treasures webpage for this property. Follow this link for Villa Alexina's Dream.

Villas St. Martin - Holiday in St Martin in the Caribbean

St. Martin Map History of St. Martin
Saint Martin

It's geography time folks, Oh yes! Jamaican Treasures a company who I may have mentioned the odd time in my posts have got some really beautiful luxury holiday villas on an island called St Martin (Wer dat den?) which is, as well all know (we do now!) in the Caribbean Sea area of the world.

Why Saint Martin? "why is it called Saint Martin?" I hear you ask, well, I'll tell you.

More than 500 years ago, the King of Spain commanded a sea captain to go and discover new lands and conquer or claim them for Spain. So, off he goes in his boat and runs straight into a Caribbean Island "Mmmm?" he thinks to himself "What can I call this place?" the answer leapt at him "Saint Martin!" only in Spanish of course.
The Captain was none other than Chris Columbus in 1493 and the island's real name was Isla de San Martín (Island of Saint Martin)

Anyway, as usual, there was much swapping of owners due to wars between the French and English, the English and Dutch, the French and the Dutch, the Spanish and the English, the French and Dutch against the Spanish and English and so on.

The end result being that Saint Martin is is now devided between the French and the Dutch 60 / 40 and is the smallest sea island devided between two nations (No wonder with all that fighting!) the large part is St-Martin (French)and the small part is Sint Maarten (Dutch) both pronounced the same though as in the English "Saint Martin"

Jamaican Treasures have more than 100 luxury holiday villas on Saint Martin and you can stay in any of them you fancy. Go to the main Jamaican Treasures website, select Saint Martin from the "Choose a category" tab on the left of the page and you will then be taken to a little piece of paradise. Enjoy looking through the villas pages and remember, Jamaican Treasures are there to help you find the best villa for you, so don´t be shy about contacting them.

The great thing about having a Blog is that from time to time you can help with certain things by using your website and Blog to spread a message. I´m happy to say, that as the Blogmiester the Jamaican Treasures Blog for Jamaica, I would like to bring to your attention a very well meaning website Jamaica Missing Persons.
So, what is Jamaica Missing persons about? I think the clue is in the title but to be correct, here is how the site is described by the people who run it. Richard and Betty Black.

JamaicanMissingPersons.org  was  founded and developed in 2006 by Richard and Betty Black. Its main purpose is to provide a FREE resource to the families and friends of persons missing in Jamaica to help in getting information including photographs about their missing loved ones out to the widest possible community in the shortest possible time.

Take a look at the link to see how best to use this website, it's not hard but Richard and Betty have set the site out in a good order http://www.jamaicanmissingpersons.org/About_Us.htm

This site is not just for persons who are missing but also for people who would like to re-unite. Old friends, family members, clubs and such like and you do not need to be Jamaican to make full use of the resources on the site, it's for everyone and it's FREE!!!!

Jamaican Culture: Louise Simone Bennett-Coverley — Miss Lou, Jamaican Icon

Louise Simone Bennett-Coverley or Miss Lou, OM, OJ, MBE
It's back to the culture site of Blogging now and a post on someone who is, without doubt, the most Iconic of Jamaican's along with people like Bob Marley and lately Usain Bolt. Miss Lou.

If you are not Jamaican and have no real ties to Jamaica you may not have heard of Miss Lou, real name Louise Simone Bennett-Coverley born in Kingston, Jamaica September 7th 1919, Jamaican folklorist, writer, and educator. Miss Lou passed away July 26th, 2006. No doubt there will be many events to mark this great lady's birthday.

I would like this Blog to be part of the celebrations and so I will reproduce my own favourite poem by Miss Lou "Colonization in reverse" the poem in patois about the first Jamaican's to leave for the United Kingdom aboard the Windrush and other vessels. You can see a lot more from this great website dedicated to Miss Lou

Jamaica Villas - Blue Mountain Coffee & Starbucks

Jamaican Gold - Blue Mountain Coffee

According to the Jamaica Gleaner, that august periodical and Mr Steven Jackson, Business Reporter "Coffee retail chain Starbucks said its summer campaign for Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee (JBM) attracted sophisticated coffee lovers into its stores"
Now, some of you may remember from earlier postings on this Blog, I wrote about Blue Mountain Coffee (There was a photo of yours truly wearing a snazzy Jamaica T-Shirt and holding up a bag of Blue Mountain coffee, both sent to me by Lisa, the CEO of Jamaican Treasures, the best villas rentals company in the world, so were told.)
The nice folks at Starbucks are shy about revealing themselves but we are told by a Coffee Industry Regulator that "the coffee has been sold off!" which to the likes of you and I must mean that the breatheren have drunk it all. Mr "J" goes on to tell us that Mr Starbuck bought 110 barrels of Jamaica Blue Mountain (referred to as JBM..not to be confused with Sangster Airport Montego Bay which is (JMB) and you can't drink it.) this is 60% more than last year.
The report is good news for JBM, a product in global decline, because Starbucks are going to increase sales from 50 coffee shops to 500 coffee shops across the Starbucks chain, they say that Starbucks was proud to offer Reserve Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee at select Starbucks stores in the US.
This is an excellent report by Steven Jackson and a must for lovers of JBM coffee. Take a look at the full story for yourself Here.
So, next time you visit Jamaica and you are relaxing in your villa (provided by Jamaican Treasures no doubt!) have yourself a nice cup of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee and R-E-L-A-X!
