Scotch on the Rocks is so named because Sitting on the rocks just above the Caribbean Sea, "Scotch on the Rocks" was originally owned by a Scottish Lord.

In the 1980s, the Earl of Mansfield sold the house to a Jamaican family, renowned for founding Red Stripe Beer. Today, Scotch on the Rocks is still owned by members of that family. There, thats why!

Oh well, I suppose It was due to happen. This is the part of my Jamaica Villas blog where I introduce you to the management and staff of Jamaican Treasures. The best place to start is at the top, so, here we go.

Lisa Hendrickson-Clarke is the President and founder of Jamaican Treasures Private Luxury Villa Rentals. Lisa was born in Kingston, Jamaica. In 1972, her family moved to North America and she was educated in Toronto, Canada, acquiring her Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1983, at McMaster University majoring in Finance and Marketing.

Lisa's family has lived in Jamaica for over four generations. Among other major businesses in Jamaica, the family has strong involvements in Jamaica's hotel and tourism industry. With a passion for the villa rental industry in Jamaica, Lisa started from scratch with her first website www.jamaicantreasures.com This rapidly grew from a collection of 100 villa to the largest collection of over 300 villas in 2010 in Jamaica. Both villa owners and villa clients rapidly realized that Jamaican Treasures has become a major force in the villa rental industry in Jamaica. Read more about Lisa 

Christina
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Christina knows Jamaica well! Having studied Hotel Management in Jamaica and working in the Industry, Christina is well informed on the ins and outs of Industry.

Now living in Australia with her husband and her two children, Christina is able to balance her busy family life with her busy accounting for Luxury Villa Treasures and Jamaican Treasures.

Stephanie
Stephanie began her travel career for a villa rental company based in Fairfax, VA after graduating from Virginia Tech in 2005. She has inspected villas in over 11 islands and quickly fell in love with the Caribbean. In 2008, Stephanie moved to St. Thomas, USVI in order to experience island living firsthand. She returned to the states in 2009 and began working for Jamaican Treasures in April of 2009.

Stephanie currently resides in San Diego, CA. She enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, surfing, college and professional basketball and football and of course, exploring and travelling!

I was browsing through the "Blogs" section of jamaicans.com and I came across this really interesting website for Snorkel Fishing. Now, if you are like me and terrified of going into any water deeper than 2 feet because you saw the film "Jaws" in the 1970´s then this site might just coax you back into the drink.

The website is called "Sea Shell Charters" and is run by cap´n Phil McKenzie. Anyway, take a look at the website and what they have to offer for when you stay in one of our fantastic private villas.

Sea Shell Charters was established in 1978 by Captain Phillip McKenzie "Captain Phil". His first boat was hand-carved from a Cottonwood tree and used a paddle for propulsion. Visitors were treated to a truly authentic fishing experience in this primitive but seaworthy craft. Today, the Sea
