WHEN IN JAMAICA DO NOT SWEAR!

Oh! dear me! It was with some mirth that I heard on the news that a little sweetie called  Nicki Minaj had been fined the princely sum of about 7GBP for her profanity strewn performance at a concert in Jamaica.

The little foul-mouthed sweetheart was dragged off to the court and put in front of the local beak for breaking the Jamaican anti profanity law, this law prohibits the use of strong or profane language in public places. The law is a throwback to colonial times. I was informed that "She had violated the Towns and Communities Act, which dates from British colonial times and penalises "obscenity in a public place". Oh, dear!

To be fair, it was little Nikki's first time in Jamaica and she was attending the Montego Bay Reggae fest, how was she to know that you can't use words like..er..er..- - - - and - - - - and - - - - - - - and - - - - - - - - - - !! (This is a very family orientated Blog so we don´t use that sort of language ourselves.

So, when you dear readers come to Jamaica and stay in one of our lovely villas, please remember to mind your language or you may also be up in front of the beak!
